The advantage of RiDoc is that the program can both scan a document, i.e. create a graphic version of a paper document, and immediately open a graphic file (bmp, png, jpeg, TIFF (including multi-page)) containing text for recognition.
In fact, the RiDoc program is a universal tool for scanning documents and recognizing text.
To recognize text in the RiDoc program, it uses
OCR Tesseract - a freely distributed product from Google. Currently, OCR Tesseract supports a huge number of languages for recognition, including Russian (it is already included in the RiDoc installation program).
To add a new recognition language, follow these steps:
